Here is my motto for 2019.
This is a lot easier said than done. If you ask anyone who knows me well, I am incredibly sensitive, and it takes little to get my feelings hurt (except at work where I am cussed/yelled at daily, that I can handle).
However, lately I have been strengthening my relationship with Jesus. I have spent more time reading the Word, praying, journaling, doing daily devotions, etc. While I may initially get upset when someone does something to hurt me, I have found that I am quick to turn to prayer and scripture.
I am in a group chat of 300 women who empower other women and lift each other up in prayer, and it is the most beautiful thing.
This has not always been the case, and I still have a lot of work to do. I used to always let anxiety win, and it took over my life. I am not proud of that, but I am so thankful for the work God is doing.
Holding to our faith–even in the face of deep disappointment–is critical. Making God’s promises bigger than our disappointments is essential. That’s why God wants us to believe and understand that His promises don’t have expiration dates. They aren’t like passports or gym memberships. They aren’t like the condiments in the fridge or the food in the pantry. Our heavenly father has given us a book full of his promises that have no expiration dates–and he will always make good on his promises. – Christine Caine
What can I pray for you about??
